World of X — A Global Navigation Layer for Modern Real Estate

The Journey

Overview

World of X is a major extension of WebLite—PropVR's flagship virtual property viewing platform. It solves a critical problem for large real estate groups:
How do you unify dozens of projects across countries, cities, and neighborhoods into a single intuitive viewing experience?

My role was to conceptualize, architect, and lead the design of this new navigational layer—turning WebLite from a project-level tool into a global portfolio explorer. To deep dive about Weblite as a product offering click here : https://propvr.ai/weblite

Challenge

The Challenge

Real estate groups with international portfolios lack a unified digital experience.
Users often jump between:

  • Multiple project websites

  • Inconsistent maps

  • Different brand microsites

  • Outdated PDF brochures

The goal was to build a single-entry ecosystem where a user could zoom out to the world, select a country, drill down into a city, and then instantly access any project.

Solution

A 4-level immersive navigation structure

  1. World View
Users can rotate the globe and select any country where the brand operates.

  2. Country View
A clean dashboard showing all cities that host projects.

  3. City View
A visually intuitive explorer that highlights neighborhoods/areas with projects.

   4. Project View
Seamless transition into the existing WebLite experience.

My Role & Contributions

1. Product Strategy

  • Defined the overall purpose, user value, and brand value of this extension.

  • Established the scalability model (multi-brand, multi-country, multi-language).

  • Mapped constraints around performance and device compatibility.

2. UX Architecture

  • conceptualised the world → country → city → area → project navigational hierarchy.

  • helped define the interaction model for each level (zoom, hover, focus, transitions).

  • Simplified the mental model so users always know where they are and what’s next.

3. Interaction & Visual Design

  • led the designing of card systems for countries, cities, and areas.

  • led the crafting of navigation patterns with minimal cognitive load.

  • Ensured smooth transitions between geographic scales.

4. Documentation

  • directed building full help documentation, including:

    • Navigation behavior

    • UI guidelines

    • Responsive behaviors

  • Ensured consistency with the broader WebLite design system.
