Website Design - deepdive

What This Deepdive Covers

This deepdive walks through the thinking, structure, and UX system behind PropVR’s revamped website.
It focuses on the decisions that shaped navigation, product storytelling, layout frameworks, and how WebLite and WOX were positioned within a unified ecosystem.

No wireframes, no raw documentation, just the final outputs and why they were designed this way.

Navigation & Information Architecture

The first challenge was simplifying how visitors discover PropVR’s expanding product ecosystem. As new products emerged, the old structure wasn’t intuitive enough for customers or even the internal team.

This section breaks down how the new IA makes the site more predictable, scalable, and easy to navigate.

Key Decisions

  • Grouped all offerings under clear, intuitive product categories

  • Built predictable menus for desktop and mobile

  • Standardized hover interactions and dropdown logic

  • Ensured navigation works for both new users and repeat visitors

  • Created an IA that scales with new product additions without structural rewrites

Product Page System & Content Model

PropVR has multiple products serving different industries. The biggest issue earlier was inconsistency — each page was built differently, causing confusion and design debt.

We solved this by creating a modular product page framework that every product now follows.

The Standard Page Formula

Hero → Features → Benefits → CTA

This formula ensures:

  • Consistent storytelling across products

  • Clear hierarchy for quick scanning

  • Predictable UI patterns

  • Reusable layouts (faster development)

  • Easy future updates

Design Rules Introduced

  • Spacing system and vertical rhythm

  • Repeatable card components

  • Unified typography hierarchy

  • Image crop rules for visual consistency

  • Standard CTA placements

WebLite + WOX Narrative

This is where the ecosystem story comes to life.
WebLite and WOX were major additions — and needed positioning that worked not just visually, but strategically.

WebLite

A lightweight, high-speed product focused on zoning, sustainability, and data-driven decisions.

WOX (World of X)

A more immersive, portfolio-wide solution showcasing unlimited projects across geographies.

How I Unified Them

  • Defined clear roles for both products

  • Positioned WebLite as “precision” and WOX as “scale”

  • Built a storyline showing how both tools complement each other

  • Designed pages so users intuitively understand what each product does and which one fits their need

Visual System

To maintain a consistent brand and reduce design overhead, we established a flexible visual system.

Key Principles

  • Spacing : fixed rhythm for all vertical and horizontal spacing

  • Component library: cards, feature rows, CTAs, badges

  • Typography system: clear hierarchy for headings, subheads, body

  • Imagery rules: realistic renders with clean negative space

Impact & Learnings

What worked well

  • A scalable content system

  • A consistent, unified product narrative

  • Faster page creation across sprints

  • Lower cognitive load for visitors

  • A cleaner, more modern visual identity

What was challenging

  • Balancing highly technical products with clear UX storytelling

  • Designing a system that works for both quick marketing updates and heavy product content

  • Ensuring cross-functional alignment across design and dev.
